This is Kyle, a military veteran that realized drugs and alcohol were destroying every aspect of his life and decided to do something about it! He gave his life to Christ and began doing things Gods way. This man has taken advantage of the assistance offered by Cedar Oak; has been clean almost 2 years, holding down a great job, paying bills and surrounding himself with others who can positively influence him and walk this walk of sobriety with him. It’s true!! With God, all things are possible.

Kyle said he never would have believed that he would do this….get on a platform, share his testimony of what God has done, lead others to Jesus. He was really nervous but it didn’t show. He appeared confident and sure.

One of the most significant steps in healing is forgiveness. Forgiving others, releasing the power they have over you, and forgiving yourself. 💪

Forgiveness asks you to release what feels justified to hold onto.

But holding onto it keeps you tied to the pain longer than you were meant to carry it. God doesn’t call you to forgive to excuse what happened; He calls you to be free from it.

What you place in His hands no longer has the same weight over your life. 💙

“Be kind to one another, be compassionate, and forgive each other just as God has forgiven you through Christ.” -Ephesians 4:32

We love and help those “messed up” people who recognize the need for unity and positive connection. We are all messed up people but most just don’t/wont see it. We provide a hand up…not a hand out.
