Thank you to everyone who came out this past Saturday for Bo’s Memorial Tournament. We had 113 players come out to raise money for his family, playing the game he absolutely loved. Thank you to all of the local businesses for sponsoring holes, thank you to all of the volunteers, and a huge thank you to the entire staff at Palmetto Hall for helping make the day possible. Seeing so many people show up to support was a powerful reminder of the impact Bo had on our community and on every one of us. 💙

If you haven’t figured it out already, I love the game of golf. It’s a game you can never perfect, which is why it’s so addicting—there’s always something to work on.

I have a member-guest coming up soon with my father, and I’m trying to work out a few kinks in my game. First is staying connected in my backswing. Second (which goes hand-in-hand with the first) is swinging out and away from my body instead of over the top. And lastly, getting my weight forward.

If anyone has any drills to help with these issues, please drop them in the comments below!

The heats finally breaking and this is by far my favorite time of the year!

The crowds start to thin out and the golf courses are in the best shape they’ll be in all year. This is when the locals start reclaiming the Island again, slower mornings on the beach, less traffic and the perfect weather.

If you’ve been putting off a visit because of the summer heat and crowds, September is a great time to visit. And if you’re weighing a relocation this is the best time to actually walk a neighborhood and picture life here.

There’s a moment that hits different when you’re standing in a house that’s too big for your life now.

What a morning at the inaugural Hardeeville Police Department Golf Outing at Riverton Pointe! 🚔⛳️

Huge thanks to HPD for putting together such a well run tournament in their first year and it showed serious potential to become a Lowcountry staple. And a massive shoutout to the entire staff at Riverton Pointe from the inside staff, the cart guys, the superintendent, and the food and beverage department, the prep and ex*****on was next level.

Riverton continues to be one of the most underrated tracks in the Lowcountry from the layout, the conditions, the views… it never disappoints. (Little personal pride here as my parents are members and I get to see firsthand how special this place is.)

My team brought their A-game shooting a score of -18 which secured us 2nd place! 🏆

Thank you again to everyone who made this event happen — HPD, the Riverton staff, sponsors, and every team out there supporting local law enforcement. Already looking forward to next year’s outing. 🏌️‍♂️

The average age in the Lowcountry is 59. The average household here is just 2.2 people. Yet so many of us are still living in homes built for a family of 4 or 5.

Downsizing isn’t about having less — it’s about making room for more of what actually matters. If you’re only using 1 of 3 or 4 rooms, spending your weekends on maintenance instead of things you love, or paying to heat and cool space you don’t use, that’s your home running you instead of the other way around.

And downsizing doesn’t mean downsizing your life. Less time on upkeep means more time for the reason so many of us chose the Lowcountry in the first place:

🏌️ Golf memberships/ groups
🎾 Tennis and pickleball leagues at nearly every plantation
⛵ Boating, fishing, and beach days that don’t have to wait
🍷 Social clubs built for exactly this stage of life

Decluttering fixes clutter. Downsizing fixes your lifestyle. It’s not about what you’re leaving behind — it’s about what you’re finally free to do.

Golf in the Lowcountry has a wide range of prices from $40 greens fees to $100k+ initiation fees!

Here’s what it actually costs to play (or belong) around Hilton Head and Bluffton:

⚓️Shipyard — public access and no membership required, can range from $40-$120 depending on the season.

🪾Riverton Pointe — roughly $5.5k to join and around $550 a month for your golf membership.

⛳️ Belfair — $80k+ initiation fee and roughly $20k a year in dues. You have access to all 36 Fazio holes with some of the most scenic golf around.
