EXTREME COLD SAFETY ALERT !!!
As temperatures drop this weekend, the National Weather Service urges families to take steps now to stay safe. Wind chills could fall into the single digits, bringing increased risk of frostbite, hypothermia, and damage to pipes and plants.
Please take a moment to review these important safety tips:
โ๏ธ People: Dress in layers, limit time outdoors, and check on elderly or vulnerable neighbors.
๐พ Pets: Bring pets indoors and ensure their food and water donโt freeze.
๐ฐ Pipes: Insulate exposed pipes and open cabinets to allow warm air to circulate.
๐ฑ Plants: Cover sensitive plants and know their temperature limits.
