Well I guess! Do you Chicago đ
Chicago doesnât do fake nice, and it definitely doesnât spend time apologizing for being Chicago. đđ
This is the kind of sign that says out loud what a lot of locals are already thinking while sitting in traffic, hearing somebody complain about the city, or listening to out-of-towners explain how things are done âbetter somewhere else.â
Chicago has its own rhythm.
Its own rules.
Its own attitude.
Loud when it wants to be.
Cold when it feels like it.
Beautiful without trying too hard.
And proudly imperfect in a way people either understand immediately⌠or never will.
If youâre coming for the skyline, the lakefront, the food, the neighborhoods, the summer weekends, the river, the architecture, the festivals, the hot dogs, the Italian beef, and that very specific Chicago energy â welcome in.
Weâll point you toward the best view, the nearest patio, a solid beef spot, and somewhere to argue about deep dish like itâs a civic responsibility.
But if youâre showing up with a checklist of how Chicago should be more like New York, LA, or somewhere else⌠you might be missing the whole point.
Chicago isnât trying to be New York.
Chicago isnât trying to be LA.
Chicago isnât trying to be anybody else.
Chicago is just being Chicago.
Windy.
Loyal.
A little aggressive.
A little hilarious.
And completely comfortable being its own thing.
Visit.
Eat well.
Take your skyline photos.
Spend some money.
Enjoy the lake.
Then let Chicago keep being Chicago when you head back home. đđ
