One address on 9th Avenue South in Jacksonville Beach has outlasted more failed businesses than almost anywhere at our Beaches. ☕

I sat in a booth at the 3rd Street Diner once — watched bugs crawl on the walls while we ate. That place is gone. So is just about everything else that's tried that corner.

Now Kava & Company is going in at 223 9th Ave S — their third location. Founded by Cianna Bommarito. Alcohol-free bar: kava, mocktails, elixirs, and food. Miami vibe. Two successful locations already running.

Maybe this is the one that finally sticks.

The Michelin Guide just recognized Jacksonville's dining scene — and eight Northeast Florida restaurants made the list for the very first time. 🍽️

The Bearded Pig (San Marco), Rue Saint Marc (San Marco), Eggboy (Atlantic Beach), Bar Citra (St. Augustine), Sunday (St. Augustine), Salt (Amelia Island), Lotus Noodle Bar (St. Augustine), and Asado Life (St. Augustine) — all recognized. Bar Citra and Sunday picked up Bib Gourmand honors.

Our dining scene has been building quietly for years. Congrats to every restaurant on that list — well deserved.

Ponte Vedra Beach could be getting its first new public beach access points in decades. 🏖️

SJC commissioners are reviewing a proposal to open 2 new public access points using former Serenata Beach Club land.

Ponte Vedra has always been one of the most beautiful — and historically one of the hardest to access — stretches of coastline on our First Coast. One of our most exclusive communities potentially opening its shoreline to everyone.

Honestly — long overdue. I think that is a big deal.

Someone called the cops on a roadside peanut vendor in St. Johns County this week. The officer showed up, cleared him — and then bought a bag. 🥜

Moondog Peanuts. Josh Mooney. Fresh red Valencia boiled peanuts — cajun, garlic parm, and dill pickle. My daughter and I stopped on Nocatee Pkwy and tried all three. Every single one was fire.

Josh shows up every weekend in our community and does what he has to do. Someone tried to shut him down that morning. The cop said he was good — and walked away with a bag.

St. Augustine has one more thing to be proud of. 🎾

Flagler College just won the Division II national tennis championship — beating the undefeated #1 team as the #6 seed, snapping a 23-match losing streak against Barry University dating back to February 1994.

Flagler won NAIA national titles in 1977 and 1986. This was the program's first NCAA title in history.

Congrats to every player, coach, and supporter involved. Super cool accomplishment for our city.

Nocatee already has two Publix stores directly across the street from each other. Now a Turner Hardware was just approved — despite an Ace Hardware on US-1, a Lowe's on CR210, and a Sherwin-Williams already in the Town Center. 🔨

At what point does our community start asking whether more is actually better?

Those two Publix stores were funny the first time. Not so sure it's funny anymore. Do we really need another hardware store — or could that space have been used to better serve our community?
