If you receive one, don’t panic—it’s not a bill. A tax assessment is simply the county’s estimate of your property’s value and is used as part of the property tax calculation process.

Take a few minutes to review it, make sure the property information is accurate, and compare the value to similar properties. If something doesn’t look right, there may be appeal options available.
