🎙️ Today’s lesson: always proofread your mouth before speaking.

I meant to say “happy people.”

What came out was “happy purple.”

At that point, you just accept your fate and keep recording. 🤣

Thankfully, podcasting isn’t about being perfect. It’s about showing up, having fun, and occasionally creating phrases that make absolutely no sense.

Anyone else ever have their mouth completely ignore what their brain was trying to say? 😂💜

Sometimes your brain is moving faster than your mouth, and sometimes… whatever happened here happens. 😂 Jennifer did her best to recover on the fly, and honestly, that may have made it even funnier.

One of the best parts of recording Behind the Neon is all the laughs that happen between the “serious” moments.

🎬 I recently watched the Michael Jackson movie, and one thing stuck with me.

Despite injuries, setbacks, pressure, and obstacles that would have stopped most people, he continued pushing toward the vision he had for himself.

Whether your goal is in business, real estate, fitness, relationships, or something else entirely, success rarely comes from having a perfect path. It comes from continuing forward when things get difficult.

A great reminder that persistence often matters more than talent.

Keep going. Your future self will thank you.

“Not every voice needs to be the loudest in a crisis.”

That line stuck with us.

In a world where everyone can post instantly, opinions spread faster than facts… and that’s where things start to spiral. Misinformation creates confusion, fear, and unnecessary chaos.

Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is pause, verify, and listen.

There’s been a lot of talk lately about Hawaii and whether people should be visiting right now.

What’s interesting is that many of the loudest voices online don’t actually live there… while many locals are saying tourism is essential for their economy and recovery.

It’s a good reminder that during situations like this, it’s easy for misinformation or strong opinions to spread quickly, especially when people are chasing engagement.

Sometimes the most helpful thing we can do is pause, listen to the people who are actually living it, and share responsibly.

Not every voice needs to be the loudest in a crisis.
