What’s Happening at the Former Auto World Site? 🤔

We’ve received several questions about the former Auto World property at FM 518 and SH 3, which was recently cleared as part of an upcoming City mobility improvement project.

The City acquired two tracts from Auto World to make room for improvements that will include additional turn lanes, traffic signal upgrades, access improvements, and new sidewalks and trails. The changes are designed to improve traffic flow, increase vehicle queuing capacity, and reduce congestion at the intersection.

The project is still in the design phase, with construction not expected to begin until late 2027.

And to answer the question you're really asking—the Starbucks at FM 518 and SH 3 will NOT be impacted by the project. ☕
