For nearly 50 years, Bear Creek Golf World was one of Houston’s largest public golf complexes — 54 holes spread across three courses inside the Addicks Reservoir.

Then Hurricane Harvey came.

In 2017, the reservoir filled, the courses were inundated, and Bear Creek Golf World never reopened. Today, the fairways are overgrown, but from above you can still clearly see the outline of the old courses slowly being reclaimed by nature.

Another piece of Houston history hiding in plain sight. ⛳️🌳

The Galveston real estate market right now is, quite frankly, abysmal. 😂

Inventory is sitting. Buyers have options. Sellers are competing against each other. And homes that would’ve sold almost instantly a few years ago can now sit for months.

Buyers have to be SMART!

If you’re buying in Galveston, you have leverage.

If you’re selling in Galveston, you better know exactly what you’re competing against. 🏠🌴

The best thing that could've happened today did happen given the circumstances.

The Fed raised its benchmark rate by 0.25% today, but that doesn’t automatically mean mortgage rates will rise. Mortgage rates are driven more by the bond market and expectations for inflation. In fact, Treasury yields fell after today’s announcement, suggesting investors liked the Fed’s tougher stance on inflation. If inflation starts moving lower, mortgage rates could eventually follow — so today’s rate hike could actually be a positive step toward lower mortgage rates.

This idea started five years ago before they had built their new house in the country and here we are five years later, seeing it all come to fruition.

It was a pleasure to help. Bring them multiple offers in an over asking price sale in just two days on market! Although with the uniqueness of their home, it wasn't a big surprise to me.

Clear Lake’s shoreline didn’t always look like this. 👀

Over the last 100+ years, man-made dredging, canals, marinas, bulkheads, development and even land subsidence have dramatically changed the shape of Clear Lake.

What was once a much more natural shoreline filled with marshes, wetlands, mudflats and shallow coves has slowly been transformed into the waterfront we recognize today.

Here’s the history of Clear Lake’s changing shoreline from 1910 to 2026.
