From January 1 through our March 1 launch, this 5-bed, 3.5-bath Lexington beauty built in 2013 was a full-scale preparation project. On behalf of out-of-state owners, I coordinated floor refinishing, painting, power washing, electrical work, deep cleaning, staging, new ceiling lights and chandeliers, and more than two months of plowing and snow removal.
Even with all the winter's snow covering the yard, our intentional timing of March 1st worked out beautifully, as we had the attention of an inventory-starved early Spring market all to ourselves.
In the end, the work paid off. The home was extremely well received by the market and quickly sold $155,000 over the list price for a total of $2,355,000 .
