Family-Owned Company in Lincoln, NE. OUR SPECILIZATION IS YOUR CUSTOMIZATION

LEADING THE WEIGH
SINCE 1964 In 1967 Ernie became the sole owner of TESCO.

TESCO was established in 1964 by Ernie Churda and William Coke. In 1967, Ernie received a request to build a specialty hopper trailer. Ernie designed and manufactured the first trailer in the evenings after the service department closed and the first Cornhusker800 Trailer was delivered in 1968 to Searcey Grain Company in Lewiston Nebraska. In 1983 we began building Rock Pup Chassis when Ernie received a special request for a unit of its kind. Our chassis had other companies boxes installed on them but in 1992 Ernie and former engineer Karl Sorensen designed, built, and began selling Cornhukser800 Aluminum Dump Bodies. The name Cornhusker800 (as we are known today) came from the location of the facility, which is where we are still located today. Contact Dave in our Sales Department to get a quote.

If you were ordering your next trailer, what’s the one thing you’d make sure it had?

A particular size? Axle configuration? Lighting setup?

We want to hear from the people putting trailers to work every day. Tell us your must-have—and what makes it worth having.

You pull into a lot and spot another rig.

What’s the first thing you notice?

The truck? The trailer? The wheels? The lights? Or how the whole setup comes together?

Tell us what catches your eye—and show us the detail you’re proudest of on yours.

During harvest, the dinner table sometimes comes with a steering wheel.

Here’s to the people hauling loads—and the people making sure they get fed along the way.

What’s your go-to harvest meal: packed lunch, field delivery, or whatever’s still open when you finish? 🌽

10/21/2026

Some of you have a lot of history with the trailer behind your truck.

What year is your Cornhusker 800, and how long have you owned it?

Tell us its story. Bonus points for a photo—we’d love to feature some of the longtime members of the lineup.

The best photos on our page? A lot of them come from you.

Here’s another Cornhusker 800 out where it belongs—on the job.
