Real Estate's Biggest Buzzword: "Sphere of Influence"
It’s often called the most valuable source of referrals, repeat business, and long-term relationships. The idea being: people do business with people they know, like, and trust, so we should all focus on "building deeper relationship"…

🛑 Okay, enough of the fluff for a second!!!

Let’s slow down and actually break down the buzzword:
Sphere. Of. Influence.

It literally means the circle of people YOU influence. The people YOU pour into. The relationships and lives YOU contribute to.
Yet I think when a lot of agents hear “SOI”, they’ve been conditioned by some “real estate guru” to immediately think about what they need from their sphere… and that’s why it starts to feel a little icky:

Secretly, I HAVE to keep in touch with my SOI because...
“I need a deal from them.”
“I need a referral from them.”
“I need their help.”

NO WONDER agents don’t want to call their SOI!

“Change the way you look at things, and the things you look at change.”

I truly believe that if your focus becomes simply being a resource, adding value, encouraging people, connecting people, and being a positive INFLUENCE in your relationships… people will feel it.

👉 Katie's Story: I discovered quickly in my adult life that I had a love for real estate. I just didn’t know at the time where it would lead me. Eventually, I found myself in an administrative role for a local home builder - where my desire grew stronger. I quickly discovered that all of my skills I used to support others over the years were going to be best put to use supporting clients to make their real estate dreams come to life. I made the decision to obtain my real estate license and ultimately found The 608 Team!

After doing a little bit of research, what really drew me in was the true family feel of this team and support system of everyone here. It was really important to me to be a part of a team because I really believe that we can all be successful when we surround ourselves with great people who work hard and make time for a little fun also!

Change is always a little scary, but I'm so glad that I trusted my gut and followed my dreams! I have absolutely zero regrets and my life is so much better because of it. Having freedom within my personal life and the ability to control my own schedule has been truly amazing. Financial freedom is a goal of mine and already after just one year I can see that it's entirely possible!!
