Dear Miami Beach Resident Fishermen,
I want to make you aware of a proposal to create a marine park or conservation area off South Beach, extending from the north jetty at Government Cut to approximately 12th–16th Street and including Neon Reef.
The proposal could potentially affect fishing, specifically Snook and Tarpon, along the North Jetties. Although it has not been finalized, resident fishermen should review the proposal and make their opinions known before decisions are made.

Please share this with other Miami Beach fishermen and boaters who may be affected. If they start with this, where is the next area they would want to close is my concern and where does this end?
BTW, I am for something like this for Neon Reef possibly as a comprise and I think having inexperienced divers in the jetties especially when big ships are coming in and out is a disaster waiting to happen. Let me know your thoughts.
