Today I had the opportunity to give back to a sport and association that helped shape who I am.

Growing up, rodeo taught me so many life lessons—hard work, perseverance, sportsmanship, and responsibility. A few years ago ok ALOT years ago I competed in Team Roping through the South Dakota High School Rodeo Association, so it was an honor to be invited back to serve as a judge for the High School Rodeo Queen Contest.

Five outstanding young ladies were evaluated on public speaking, modeling, horsemanship, and much more. It was impressive to see the talent, confidence, and dedication each contestant brought to the competition. The future of rodeo is in good hands.

The contest took place today, and the winner won’t be announced for a few more days. In fact, I don’t even know who it is yet!

Best of luck to all of the contestants. You should be proud of the way you represented yourselves and the sport of rodeo. Great job today!

Happy Election Day Mitchell!!

I didn’t get a sticker, but I still took the picture. That’s basically the adult version of “pics or it didn’t happen.”

I don’t make political posts, but I’ve always lived by one simple rule: if you don’t vote, you can’t complain about the results at the coffee shop tomorrow.

So get out and vote. Vote red, vote blue, vote purple polka dots if they let you. Just vote.

Then when the election is over and you’re ready to retire that political sign from your front yard, give me a call and let’s replace it with a SOLD sign instead. 🤠🏡

Pretty exciting to be at the groundbreaking for the return of Chef Louie’s! 🍝👏

It’s always awesome seeing people invest back into our community and bring back places that hold so many memories for people around Mitchell. Molly and I had more than a few date nights at the old Chef Louie’s over the years, so it’ll be pretty special getting to go back and make some new memories together too.

Huge congratulations on the groundbreaking — I already can’t wait for the old favorites, Filet Oscar… and Molly might order something at Market Price (wasn’t sure what that meant, but, found out quick) 😂
