(June 17, 2026) — The Greater Houston rental market remained strong in May as renters took advantage of stable prices and a growing selection of available homes. Leasing activity increased across the region, signaling continued demand heading into the peak summer moving season.

According to the Houston Association of Realtors’ May 2026 Rental Market Update, single-family leased listings totaled 4,849 in May, which is a 5.2% increase from the 4,608 leases recorded last year.
