Title Companies, Closing Attorneys, Realtors... do your due diligence for your clients when ordering surveys. Many surveyors are not full-service companies and will not complete construction survey work on a prior survey completed by them.

Therefore, the homeowner must start from scratch and have a new survey completed by a firm that will complete the necessary surveys to comply with city/county requirements.

Benchmark Land Services is a full-service survey company. If you order from us when your client purchases their home, when they decide to make any modifications - add a room, add a pool, add a shed, add a fence, add a generator - any of those modifications requires additional survey work.

While we are a full-service company, we cannot (add on to) a previous surveyor's work. We MUST complete a new boundary survey that we can build upon to submit required construction surveys to the city/county to comply with the permit requirements.

Before ordering a survey for your client's real estate closing, ask if they have ANY plans to make modifications to the property. If so, make sure you order their required boundary survey from a company that will be able to complete the construction survey work. This will save your clients money and time when that time comes.
