🚪REALTOR® Safety Month: Stay Safe During the Showing

Once you’re inside a property, stay aware of your surroundings. When showing a home, allow your prospect to walk ahead of you so you can maintain awareness of where they are and where you are in the home.

Before entering, take note of potential exits and keep escape routes accessible. If a situation feels unsafe, prioritize getting away from the danger rather than confronting it. Having a simple excuse or an office distress code ready can also give you an easy way to exit a situation.

Trust your instincts and put your safety first. ⚠️

REALTOR® Safety Month: Before the Showing

Safety starts before you ever step inside a property. When possible, schedule showings during daylight hours, let someone know where you’re going and when you expect to return, and take a moment to assess your surroundings when you arrive.

Make sure you know the exact property location, have reliable cell service and, whenever possible, take your own vehicle so you’re in control of your transportation.

A few extra seconds of preparation can make a big difference. Save this post for your next showing! 🔑
