Getting Ready to Sell? Here’s One of the Easiest Things You Can Do. 💡

People often ask me, “What should I do to get my house ready to go on the market?”

One of the simplest answers: check your light bulbs!

Walk through your home and make sure every light is working. Replace burned-out bulbs and, wherever multiple bulbs are visible together, make sure they match in size, style, brightness and color temperature. And, of course, always use bulbs that are appropriate for the fixture.

It sounds like such a small thing, but it makes a BIG difference.

A bright, consistently lit room feels warmer, cleaner and more inviting. Burned-out or mismatched bulbs can unintentionally give buyers the impression that something isn't working or that little maintenance items have been overlooked.

And safety first! If a bulb is difficult to reach, don't take unnecessary chances on a ladder. Ask someone for help or hire a handyman to take care of those hard-to-reach fixtures.

Small details help tell buyers a bigger story: this home has been cared for. 🏡💡

Not every buyer wants their living room, dining room and kitchen to be one giant room where you can see the dirty dinner dishes from the sofa. 😂

❤️ A little gratitude. A little kindness. A little paying it forward.

Tomorrow is International Day of Charity, and I love the reminder that we all have the ability to make a difference in someone else’s life.

It doesn’t always have to be something big.

Donate to a charity you believe in.
Volunteer an hour of your time.
Support an organization doing good in your community.
Pay for someone’s coffee.
Help a neighbor.
Give when no one is watching.

I’m a big believer in gratitude, good karma and paying it forward. What we put out into the world matters—and kindness has a wonderful way of continuing long after that first act. ❤️

So this weekend, find one small way to make someone else’s world a little better.
