Cold Weather Reminder
With colder temperatures approaching this week, we kindly remind all residents to ensure your heat is turned on and functioning properly. When turning your heat on for the first time this season, it is normal to notice a brief burning smell. This is caused by dust that has collected in the heating system over time and should dissipate shortly. Please also be aware that this initial startup may cause smoke detectors to activate briefly—this is normal in most cases.
To help prevent frozen pipes during overnight hours, we strongly recommend:
Allowing your faucets to drip slightly, especially during freezing or near-freezing temperatures
Opening all cabinet doors beneath sinks to allow warm air to circulate around your plumbing
Taking these precautions can help prevent costly plumbing issues and water damage.
We truly appreciate our residents and thank you for helping us keep our community safe and well-maintained.
