So if you’re about to gut your kitchen, learn from me and set up a survival station before demo starts.

KITCHEN RENO SURVIVAL KIT:
• Coffee station (this was first on my list because i cant survive without my cafecito)
• Paper plates + bowls
• Disposable cups
• Plastic utensils
• Paper towels + napkins
• Trash bags
• Disinfecting wipes + hand sanitizer
• Air fryer / crockpot
• Microwave
• Mini fridge if your regular fridge isn’t accessible
• Food storage containers + zip-top bags for lunches
• Scissors + can opener
• One cutting board + knife
• A few microwave-safe bowls
• Salt, pepper + everyday seasonings adobo if youre like me ☺️
• Easy snacks the kids can grab themselves
• Easy meals that require little to no prep
• A basket or bin for random kitchen essentials
• Trashcan and trashbags

And probably the biggest tip: set up ONE designated area for all of it.

Ours ended up on my kids’ desk, and just having one place for coffee, snacks, utensils, and the appliances we’re actually using has made such a difference.

Do not wait until day 5 or 6 when you’re already completely over it to figure this out like I did.

Let's talk about Selva Rosa. 🌹🌮🍣

We walked in just planning to grab a quick bite and somehow ended up ordering half the menu, sushi rolls and tacos included. No regrets though, because everything that came out looked like a tiny work of art and tasted even better. That sauce drizzle on the rolls? Unreal. The tacos held their own right next to it.

And here's the part you need to save this post for: Tuesday nights they do UNLIMITED tacos and sushi. Say less. That alone is worth putting on the calendar.

This is quickly becoming one of our favorite spots to send people when they ask "where should we eat this week." Sushi and tacos in one place is not something you find often, and they nailed both. The vibe is easy, the food is good, and honestly we left already planning our next visit, probably on a Tuesday.

If you're in the Orlando area and haven't tried Selva Rosa yet, this is your sign. Go hungry, bring a friend, and order both the rolls and the tacos so you don't have to pick sides.
