Now the slab is poured, the plumbing stub-ups are visible, and you can finally start to see where the house is going to sit.

Florida weather may have had a few opinions about the schedule 😂, but progress is progress.

Next up: framing.

CHAPTER SIX | FROM HOMESITE TO HOME 🏡
We’ve measured it. Surveyed it. Studied the soil, seawall, flood zones and elevation requirements. We’ve talked about what thoughtful coastal design needs to consider.
Now comes the part most people picture first:
The home.
But one of the biggest lessons from this journey has been that the house doesn’t come first.
The homesite does.
Where a home sits. How it relates to the water. Where the views open up. How indoor and outdoor spaces connect. Even the decisions we’ve already made sense of through due diligence can influence what happens next.
That’s where preparation starts becoming possibility.
