If you’re thinking about selling, it’s natural to start looking around your house and wondering what needs to be fixed, painted, changed, or updated.
But before you spend money, pause for a minute.
Not every update gives you the return you think it will.
Sometimes a small repair matters more than a big project.
Sometimes fresh paint helps.
Sometimes the flooring matters.
Sometimes buyers care more about price, layout, location, or condition than the update you were about to pay for.
That’s why I always think it’s smart to walk through the home with a plan before you start spending.
The goal is not to make your home perfect.
The goal is to make smart decisions that help protect your value.
Not every update gives you the return you expect. Looking around your house and wondering what needs fixing, painting, changing, or updating.
