A few Peoria, Arizona facts that even some locals don’t know. 👀

The kind of stuff that turns into a “wait, really?” at the dinner table. Save this one for the next time you need a fun fact to drop or a local debate to start.

The entire town started as a through road for the gold rush. Not as a gold rush town.

Eventually Peoria grew as a farming town and farming is a major part of its history!

Peoria had its first US Post Office in 1888 with a population of 27 people. 😂

A fire in 1917 almost destroyed the entire town!
