Rye Tavern is looking for a passionate, artistic Garden Designer. Our garden is the visual and culinary anchor of our restaurant all summer long, serving as both a highly productive kitchen garden and an ornamental masterpiece for our guests.

Because we do not have an on-site greenhouse, an ideal candidate should have access to their own greenhouse space to start seeds early and ensure a strong start for the season. If you have a deep love for farm-to-table sustainability, a sharp eye for aesthetic garden design, and the experience needed to solo-manage a thriving seasonal garden, we want you on our team.

Details:
โ€ข train this Fall to take the lead for the full 2027 Season
โ€ข must have own greenhouse setup for early seed starting
โ€ข active management mostly runs March - Nov
โ€ข weekly & daily hands-on care during peak growing season
โ€ข healthy garden budget provided

What We Are Looking For:
โ€ข proficiency with seed starting and bed prep
โ€ข Strong experience blending vegetable crops & ornamental flower displays
โ€ข Excellent self-management skills to oversee daily harvesting and maintenance
โ€ข A creative spirit who takes pride in curating a stunning visual landscape

A secret courtyard. A dining pergola. An outdoor fireplace. A home so distinctive it became Boston Magazine's Design Home. Steve and Andra drove down from Boston to Plymouth expecting to spend an afternoon and ended up buying a home. Their California Courtyard home in Five Lanterns, built by The Green Company, brought indoor-outdoor living to New England in a way no one had seen before. The design was inspired by a trip to California, and later inspired The Green Company's multiple award-winning Fresco designs.
