It's always an honor to witness peoples' joy (and pain) in the home buying process. This one was pure joy.

Usually when we sell a house, there is a list that will make the house perfect for the buyers: good light for a garden, a bedroom on the main floor, a place for in-laws. These sweet buyers kept mentioning the right place for the sourdough. After closing, Laina received a picture of the first loaf in the new house - an ideal place to proof and bake in the same day. This cheddar, jalapeño sourdough loaf makes us all smile. Happy housewarming to Laina's buyers. ❤

This is great! The small-town collaboration that this took was inspiring and reminded why I love our town. Ivy is so much more than a client. She's a close friend and colleague. I'm proud of her for taking the plunge in this next step and it was inspiring to watch her and Andy navigate all the hurdles for business ownership. I have no doubt that they'll be successful. I'm thrilled that I know where I'll always buy my notecards and stuffies.

SCAM: We see a lot of scamming in Real Estate. The number one that we see is someone using our real estate pictures and posting fake rental listings. This one took a little sleuthing, but it's definitely a scam - I checked with the owner, who was my buyer for this property.

The phone number associated with this is some little 92 year old lady.

When it's meant for you: This house sold a month ago and Laina's buyer had the backup offer. She was so bummed, and even said "I guess it wasn't meant to be." The original buyers' plans changed, and they asked Laina if her buyer was still interested. She was and was thrilled to buy the house a month after it sold originally. She is going to be close to her sister in the sweetest sibling connection. When it's meant to be, it's meant to be.
