Inspection Day 🏡🔍
One of the most important days in the home-buying process because this is when we truly get to understand the condition of the home beyond what we see during a showing.
Here are some key areas every buyer should pay close attention to during the inspection:
* Roof:
Check the age, condition, and look for any signs of leaks or damage.
* Crawl Space:
Important to inspect for moisture, foundation issues, mold, or pest activity.
* Attic:
Check insulation, ventilation, and any signs of water intrusion or leaks.
* HVAC System:
Make sure the heating and cooling systems are functioning properly and efficiently.
* Plumbing:
Look for leaks, pipe issues, and water pressure concerns.
* Electrical Panel:
Ensure the electrical system is safe and up to date.
* Windows & Doors:
Check for proper sealing, drafts, or moisture issues.
* Foundation:
Look for cracks or signs of settling that may need further evaluation.
* Water Heater:
Check the age and overall condition.
* Signs of Mold or Moisture:
Never ignore unusual smells, stains, or damp areas.
A home inspection isn’t just another step — it’s protection, knowledge, and peace of mind for the buyer’s future 🤍🏡
