When called to ask if I’d speak to the
Black Real Estate Connection group, I instantly said yes.

Two reasons: Jason is a great community partner, and I want to see more people of color be developers.

I was completely open about my wins and my setbacks. I shared how crabby neighbors always seem to find me, and I kept it real about my profit ranges not to boast, but to encourage more people who look like me that if I can do this, so can you.

It’s not easy, but it isn't rocket science either. There’s enough land for everyone, and as fast as the world is moving, people will always need housing. Plus, a house in a good location will always sell even in a tough market with higher interest rates.

One thing about me: if I step into a room, I’m going to network. I find joy in community and genuine connections.

I show up to every event not just to listen to the speakers and soak up game, but to make real connections. When I walk out, the people I meet know my business, and know exactly why I was in the room and what I’m looking to build.
