My dad. came and visited for.a week. I dropped him off at the airport yesterday afternoon. These are the highlights from his visit, mainly lots of :

* dinner from Café Yumm!

* doing drop in visits with dogs - Fern and Bella, and Watson and Lennon. Dad has a black lab so he loved hanging with dogs a bit.

* lunch at Chinese Delicacy to finally try their Kung Pao Tofu. It was pretty good!

* Dad wanted pho so lunch at Hello Pho,Banhmi & Boba , and a side of dan dan fries at Basilisk

* Portland VegFest - had samples, bought things like lunch from Obon Shokudo and The Dusted Cup , and treats from Cultured Kindness , Carina’s Bakery , Bean Boy Foods , and Habibis (cookies). also ran into A LOT of friends.

* my annual end of summer party where dozens of friends came, brought tasty food, and made an end of summer gathering fun and memorable.

* the newly re-opened washington park reservoir and walking path is gorgeous!

* dad got to hug a big tree

* the holocaust memorial was well done, but obviously sad too.

* dinner at the Happy Valley Food Stafion Cart Pod where dad got some fried rice and musubi from one cart, and I got a furikake tofu sushi roll and a side of seaweed salad from Wasabi Sushi PDX . the sushi and seaweed salad were good!

The exterior of this house is interesting. It has subtle cabin vibes. The brick fireplace inside is also pretty awesome. And the house is on a little more than 1/2 acre.

There are a few cool features in this house.

I like the frosted effect on the front door, but I do not like that it seems whoever is inside can't see outside. I wish the frosted effect was just on the exterior.

Some of the rooms are virtually staged so you can see what the rooms look like empty and also what they could look like with furniture.

I love a fireplace on a deck and this one has one.

I have mixed feelings about what looks like a powder room/1/2 bath.

The kitchen is super spacious with lots of counter space.

I could also use a spacious walk in closet like this primary bedroom has.

The blue tree mural on photo #37 are super cute and fun!

The photos in this listing are interesting. For the most part the photos reflect the property as it currently is, but there are several photos that show rooms that could exist with a refresh or remodel. Photos 27 & 28 are one example.

I don't think I have ever seen photos like that before. I get why pastels might not be for everyone, but what do you think about showing photos of a room that could exist after cosmetic updating? Do you like that visual being included?
