We're out in North Bethesda this week, taking a closer look at a home that doesn't come up often: a first-time offering in Timberlawn, 4,408 square feet, a three-pool community, and walking distance to Whole Foods, Pike & Rose, and the Metro.

At $1.4M, this is one of the more compelling square-footage-per-dollar opportunities we've seen in this corridor in a while. The bones are strong, vaulted ceilings in the family room, a sunroom addition, a finished lower level with bonus rooms. And there's room to update the kitchen to whatever standard you want without structural changes.

We also share our honest read on where the market is heading into Memorial Day weekend which neighborhoods are hot, which homes are sitting, and what we think happens after the holiday.
