Every year for Father’s Day, the kids and I add to Chris’ dad book. Think of it as a kind of cheap, no frills, scrapbook greeting card.

We print pictures from the year and cut them out, add colors and stickers and fun paper. I always print out an “All About My Dad” page for them to fill out and we look back at the year and all the years. It’s a tradition I almost didn’t complete this year.

But Chris made it clear that he loves the tradition and we can’t skip! So this is our 11th year with it and I’m really glad we didn’t skip. 💞🩵💞 Happiest Father’s Day Chris! We love you more than you’ll ever know. 😘

And a very happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there living their best life, working hard, and loving hard. 💙

It’s true—both experiences activate your parasympathetic nervous system (that’s science-speak for your body’s natural chill mode). Whether it’s the rhythmic brushing of a horse or the dirt under your nails while planting, your brain responds by lowering stress, boosting mood, and releasing feel-good chemicals like serotonin and oxytocin. 🐴🌱
