Some stories feel extra full circle.

Knowing that he grew up alongside my husband, sharing grade school years, friendships, and life’s early chapters, then fast forward to seeing him build a life with the person he loves has been incredibly special.

They took a leap of faith together. Moving out of state for her graduate program, building life from the ground up, adding a standard poodle to the mix, and then feeling the pull back to Raleigh. New opportunities for both of them, strong careers, and a clear vision for what “home” needed to be next.

Did the Triangle housing market just get a 2026 reality check?

A new national forecast is calling next year a potential “housing reset,” and the projections for Raleigh, Cary, and the greater Triangle real estate market are worth watching.

Current data suggests home sales may ease by about 4.4% and home prices could adjust around 3.7%. This isn’t a crash. It’s the market moving back toward a more normal, sustainable pace after several years of rapid appreciation and intense competition.

For home buyers, this shift could mean more negotiating power and less pressure.
For home sellers, it means that strategy matters more than ever. In a more balanced market, pricing, presentation, and timing are what drive strong results.
