Serenity House Network offers affordable, high-quality, fully-furnished homes and apartments and Christian support services exclusively for patients needing short-term or extended stay housing, within 10 minutes of Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. We specialize in providing housing for patients needing stem cell transplants, organ transplants, cancer treatments, the Pain Rehabilitation Center and other extended medical treatments. Our rates ranges from $75-$114/night. Included in these rates are all utilities, high-speed wireless internet, cable TV,DVD, free local/long-distance US phone service, free parking and free laundry. We have a wide variety of housing options from a 1-bedroom efficiency apartment, to a 3-bedroom/2 bath private home, to a luxury condo across the street from Mayo Clinic with indoor pool and underground heated parking.

Serenity House Network, LLC is looking for 1 or 2 part-time cleaners to join our cleaning team. Ideal candidate(s) would be someone who is retired, would like to get out of the house for a few hours a week, and/or make some extra money. Hours vary by week but could be between 5 to 10 hours. We provide medical lodging for transplant and chemo patients in Rochester, MN who stay anywhere from 1 to 3 months in the homes.

We have 18 fully furnished homes, and apartments, all within 15 minutes of Mayo that we clean requiring attention to detail to meet our medical lodging licensure. We have checklists to guide you on what needs to be done for each room. Most cleanings occur on weekdays between 8 AM and 12 PM with an occasional weekend (but rarely and if you wish to work it or not). If you would be interested in working as a fill in or assist on cleanings please email [email protected] for further details. Background checks are required due to our licensing.

One of SHN’s current cleaners has this to say: I personally have worked for the company for over five years and enjoy the small family atmosphere and interacting with the guests staying in our houses. It can be very rewarding. Pay starts at $20/hour. Hope to work with you soon!

Our stay at the Serenity House Network’s Evy’s House was a wonderful experience! We spent more than 100 days here during my bone marrow transplant treatment.

The privacy it offered was exactly what we were looking for. There were moments when I simply craved some rest & alone time & I was able to do just that. Each evening, my husband & I enjoyed watching a movie together in the comfort & privacy of our home.

Relaxing on the back patio was a delight, especially with the shade provided by the large tree. It was convenient to have HyVee grocery store & Walgreens within walking distance.

When we had a heavy snowfall in the middle of March, two men were over here on that same day, blowing our snow & cleaning our driveway. The lawn care & house cleaning services were done so diligently. When we had trouble with the garage door someone was over here right away.

A volunteer (House Mom) kindly brought a loaf of bread as a welcoming gift & even gave me cookies for my birthday. Greg was attentive, promptly responding to any messages we sent via phone or text.

The lasting memories we cherish from our time here are rooted in the genuine kindness, empathy, & sincerity shown by Greg and all the Serenity House Network staff, reinforcing our belief in the goodness of people who are willing to assist those in difficult situations. We feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to stay at Serenity House Network.

Dear Serenity House Network,

Thank you for sharing your home with us. My family & I have been able to come "home" after long days of testing & treatment to relax & recover together. Staying at the Yvette's on 8th home, for the last 81 days, has helped to speed the healing process & keep us connected. The 9 hour trips between Rochester & our homes in Kansas meant that family would have to stay for a week or more. The home that you shared with us made it possible for our children, in-laws, & extended family to participate in my recovery.

Dear Future Guests at Neighborhood Nook,

We immensely enjoyed our stay here at the Neighborhood Nook! Undergoing a Stem Cell Transplant comes with a lot of unknowns, good days & bad days. Having this home to come back to was a much needed blessing. It brought peace & serenity through the chaos. I remember the first night back from my hospital stay. I just smiled as I cozied up in bed. I hope this place becomes that for you, too.

My favorite thing to do was sit in the sunroom & watch all the animals, from squirrels, bunnies, cardinals & the like. It brought some much needed entertainment! The bunnies & squirrels often chase each other across the yard.

Everyone at Serenity House Network was wonderful to work with & friendly. It made everything so much easier, & one less thing to have to worry about when you have a home ready for you.

I am praying this home becomes a little sanctuary for you as you embark on your journey. Here’s a verse that helped me on the tough days:
