At our recent Lunch & Learn, new Rochester Members and Members from our other communities shared what made cooperative living feel like the right choice.

They talked about the ease and convenience, fewer bills to manage, and how meaningful it was to see the new grant used to reduce Rochester Share Prices. For them, it was another reflection of what The American Cooperative is all about: creating communities where ownership, value and the well-being of Members come first.

BIG NEWS for The American Cooperative of Rochester!

A $1.9 million grant from the City of Rochester will directly reduce the Share Prices paid by our future Members.

For some, that may put a favorite Home Plan more comfortably within reach. For others, it may open up options they hadn’t considered before.

Yesterday’s storm left quite a mess in one of our future Members’ yards, with branches down and plenty of cleanup ahead.

They shared these photos with us and said it was just one more reason they are looking forward to their move to The American Cooperative of Rochester - no more worrying about storm cleanup, yard work or outdoor maintenance.

We’re glad everyone is safe, and grateful to them for sharing a real-life reminder of what maintenance-free living can mean. ❤️
