Maintenance Assistant – Rock Spring Resort

Rock Spring Resort is seeking a dependable, hands-on Maintenance Assistant to help keep our property safe, clean, welcoming, and running smoothly for guests and staff. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in quality work, and can respond quickly and professionally to maintenance needs across the resort.

Position Summary :
The Maintenance Assistant will work under a Maintenance Supervisor to perform general repairs, preventive maintenance, grounds upkeep, and facility support throughout the resort. Duties may include painting, carpentry, equipment checks, suite repairs, outdoor area support, and responding to guest or staff maintenance requests.

Key Responsibilities :
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on buildings, guest areas, equipment, and resort grounds.

Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests, staff, and management.

Complete painting, carpentry, and general repair tasks. Inspect rooms, common areas, walkways, lighting, fixtures, and equipment for safety and functionality.

Assist with preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and keep operations running smoothly. Maintain outdoor areas, including grounds, walkways, trash removal, and seasonal cleanup as needed.

Keep maintenance tools, supplies, and work areas organized and safe. Follow all safety procedures and report hazards or needed repairs to management.

Provide friendly, professional service when working around guests and team members.

Qualifications :
Must be 18 years of age or older, able to pass a drug test and background check.

Previous maintenance, handyman, hotel, resort, campground, or facilities experience preferred.

Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, HVAC, or general repair work is a plus.

Ability to troubleshoot problems and complete tasks with minimal supervision.

Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction.

Must be able to lift 50lbs, carry, push, or pull heavy items and remain on your feet for extended periods.

Must be willing to work on a flexible schedule, including some weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings as needed.

Valid driver’s license is preferred.

Schedule and Compensation :
This is a full-time position. Pay is based on experience. Please include your availability when applying.
