As I sat in a room surrounded by NAHREP leaders, the Top 10%…I found myself taking it all in.
The room. The people. The conversations. The journey it took to even have a seat at that table.
And then Sheila, who was sitting next to me, reached over and handed me a pin.
I asked her, “What’s the story behind these pins?”
She simply said she likes to hand them out to spread positivity.
And what she didn’t know was that in that exact moment, I needed those words more than she could ever know.

Sometimes, even when you are strong, even when you lead, even when others look to you for encouragement… you need a reminder too.
A reminder that every sacrifice, every difficult season, every time you questioned yourself, every time you kept going when it would have been easier to stop, it all brought you to where you are today.
Sitting in that room made me realize that sometimes we are so busy chasing the next goal that we forget to look around and recognize how far we have already come.
That pin may have been small, but the message was huge.
Believe bigger.
Believe in yourself.
Believe that you belong in the room.
Believe that everything you’ve worked for is preparing you for what’s next.
