From phishing emails, to fraudulent payment requests, to vacant land and seller impersonation scams, and everything in between, REALTORS® face digital threats that can put both their business and their clients at risk.

Implement digital safety habits like using multi-factor authentication, be cautious with unexpected links, and take extra steps to verify identities and unusual requests—especially when working with vacant land or sellers you haven’t met in person.

Take an extra moment to verify before you click, share, list, or send. Good digital habits can help protect you, your clients, and the transaction.

An open house means opening the door to a lot of people—so awareness matters.

Before guests arrive, walk through the property, identify your exits, and make sure valuables or potential hazards are secured. While the open house is underway, keep track of who is coming and going and avoid putting yourself in isolated areas of the home.

When it’s time to wrap up, do one final walkthrough. Check each room, closet, door, and window before locking up and leaving.

A successful open house should be a safe one, too.

Every showing is different. Stay aware of what’s around you.

From where you park to how you move through the home, small choices can help you maintain awareness and control throughout a showing. Keep your vehicle accessible, let clients lead the way through the property, and always know your nearest exit.

And most importantly, trust your instincts—if something doesn’t feel right, it’s okay to end the appointment and leave.

Small habits can make a big difference. Stay aware, stay prepared, and make safety part of every showing.

St. George is #1 in the nation for commercial real estate demand! 📍

The National Association of REALTORS® recently introduced its Commercial Real Estate Demand Index, measuring economic conditions that can signal growing demand for commercial space across 306 U.S. metro areas.

And St. George earned the highest overall ranking in the country, with an index score of 128 and multifamily as the strongest driver.

Unlike traditional indicators such as vacancy rates or leasing activity, NAR’s index looks at the economic factors that can drive future demand—providing an earlier look at where commercial real estate activity may be headed.

Over the past several months, we've been working with a professional branding team to strengthen how we communicate, connect with our community, and showcase the value of the REALTOR® profession throughout Southern Utah.

Beginning June 8, updated branding will start appearing across our websites, marketing materials, and advertising throughout Washington County and beyond. Additional enhancements will continue rolling out throughout the summer.
