Farmers markets are out in full force Saturday morning, the Grand Lake Walk to End Alzheimer's kicks off at Wright State's Lake Campus, and the 2nd Annual Dylan Bigelow Memorial Ride rolls out at noon. Add in live music at Boardwalk Grill, Coconut Hut, Celina Eagles, Celina Moose Lodge, Lakeside Hideout, Duckfoot's, and more, plus Wellness & Wine at Spade & Barrel Sunday afternoon — there's a lot to get into.

The countdown to cozy is on.

Cisco Realty's Annual Pumpkin Giveaway is Saturday, October 10th, 10:00–11:30 AM, at the corner of Spring & Wayne Streets in St. Marys.

We'll have 300+ free pumpkins, one per child while supplies last. Bring the family for pony rides, a bounce house, a petting zoo, temporary tattoos, and the duck pond. Biggby Coffee will be on site, and kids can snap a picture with a police officer.

Here's what's happening around Grand Lake this weekend! 🍁

The Fall Festival kicks off Friday afternoon at the State Park Campground and runs through Sunday — crafts, food trucks, and live entertainment.

Saturday morning, American Legion Post 323 is hosting their Foundation Poker Run. Registration starts at 10:30, kickstands up at noon.

Live music all over the lake Thursday through Sunday — full lineup is in the flyer below. Give a venue a quick call before you head out, since times can shift.

This week Lindsay and I are talking easy curb appeal for fall — rake those leaves, add some mums, hang a wreath on the door. Simple touches that go a long way, whether you're selling or just settling into the season.

It's almost Halloween, so let's talk about something that scares sellers way more than it should — FHA, VA, and USDA buyers. 🎃

If an offer comes in with one of these loans and your first instinct is to say no, we get it. But most homes qualify with little to no repairs — think peeling paint on trim, a water heater without a pressure release valve, a missing GFCI outlet, or a handrail that isn't there yet. Cheap, fast fixes.

In our area, these loans make up a big share of our buyers. Turning them down without knowing the facts means fewer offers and more time on the market.
