Bert's career as a Realtor began over 30 years ago and she is still having fun. When one sets their standards high , loves what they do and works hard, then things seem to fall into place and life is fulfilling. As a seasoned agent, she has experienced the well -known cycles in Real Estate. Riding the high waves and experiencing the falls in that cycle has made her tougher and extremely knowledgea
ble about what can and will happen in this fascinating career. Bert received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Secondary education from the University of Colorado. As a high school teacher, she earned several awards for her dedication, one of which was Career Woman of the Year for the state of Colorado. While raising three children, all of whom are now married with families of their own, Bert began her Real Estate career in 1985. She realized she was good helping people make major decisions and figuring out solutions to challenges. She became involved with the grass root level of politics in a fast growing part of Tennessee known as Williamson County and served for several years on the Williamson County Planning commission. As planning commission vice-chairman, for the rapidly expanding county, Bert became involved with developers, land use plans, zoning and other important aspects of what makes a strong and viable community. In addition she served as President of the Williamson County Association of Realtors. When her children were young, Bert enjoyed bringing them to the beach every opportunity she had and when they all went off on their own, (One a pilot, one an architect/artist and one a nurse), Bert decided that she could live and work in the one place that always brought her peace and tranquility......the beach. Her knowledge, experience and love of Real Estate has brought her through many years of an exciting career, and she is convinced she hasn’t seen the best part yet. Her affiliation with Sotheby’s is proving to be a fantastic addition to her journey and she is excited to continue helping others with making their dream come true of owning a great spot in this enchanting and special area known as 30A.
