As the plane crossed above the Palmetto State, travelers watched the Atlantic coastline and winding marshlands glow beneath one of the most spectacular sunsets imaginable. π³
For a few unforgettable moments, the beaches, rivers, tidal creeks, and coastal communities of South Carolina appeared to shine beneath a sky painted in brilliant shades of orange, gold, pink, and crimson.
One passenger reportedly looked out the window and said:
"That's either the most beautiful sunset I've ever seen... or South Carolina decided to show off for everybody flying overhead." ππ
π
Meanwhile South Carolinians immediately began responding with:
β’ βCan you see Myrtle Beach from up there?β ππ
β’ βNothing beats a South Carolina sunset over the coast.β π
π΄
β’ βTell me beach music was playing when this happened.β πΆπ
β’ βThe Palmetto State really knows how to put on a show.β π΄β¨π€£
The stunning glow stretched for miles along the coastline, creating one of those rare moments where an entire airplane suddenly stopped scrolling through phones and started staring out the windows instead.
From 33,000 feet, South Carolina looked like an endless blend of sandy beaches, historic towns, winding rivers, marshes, forests, and sparkling city lights stretching toward the horizon while the sky burned with color above the Atlantic Ocean. πβ¨
South Carolina may be known for its beautiful coastline, charming small towns, Southern hospitality, world-class golf, historic landmarks, and iconic palmetto trees...
but every once in a while, the view from an airplane window reminds everyone just how incredible the Palmetto State really is. πβοΈπ΄
