Congratulations Megan on your first closing as a Realtor! 🎉🎉🎉
Everyone remembers closing their first sale as a Realtor. But today, I got to celebrate with her by cutting her tie! Watching her journey from receptionist to Realtor to closing her first sale has been incredible to see! This is a big milestone and we can’t wait for your many more closings! ✂️👔


Tie Cutting Tradition:
There are a number of rites of passage that mark the graduation from “newbie” to “professional.” The tradition of cutting someone’s tie or scarf is said to have originated when military pilots completed their first mission. On training flights, the instructor would sit behind the trainee, and yank on their scarf as deemed necessary to get the trainee’s attention, or scold them for making a mistake. Ties (or scarves in this case) were typically cut after a pilot’s first solo flight - signifying that the instructor no longer possessed power over the pilot.   

Fast forward to present day and you may find this fun tradition happening with anyone from car salesman getting their first sale to realtors closing their first transaction. 🏡✨

With over 20 years of experience in the real estate and mortgage industries, Lynn brings an incredible depth of knowledge and a well-rounded perspective to every transaction. Licensed in real estate since 2004 and working full-time as a Realtor for the past 16 years, she also spent nearly 18 years as a mortgage officer giving her unique insight into both the home buying process and the financial side behind it.

Lynn’s professional background also includes owning and operating a successful short sale company beginning in 2008, where she helped hundreds of clients navigate difficult financial situations with confidence and care. Before that, she dedicated nearly 19 years to a major financial institution, advancing from part-time teller to Assistant Vice President.

Beyond her career accomplishments, Lynn is a devoted wife, proud mother of 5, grandmother of 5, and part of a growing family of 16. A longtime Macomb Township resident since 2002, she and her family recently built their new home there.
