July US Construction Spending Declines 3.8% Year Over Year

We discuss the July US construction spending report, which shows a 3.8% year-over-year decline to $2.2 trillion. Public construction rose 1.7% due to highway and street spending, but private residential fell 7.3% and private non-residential dropped 3.3% despite a 57.2% surge in data center construction.
