It felt way too good outside to get in the car, so I traded four wheels for four much slower wheels and took the golf cart instead. 😂

One of my favorite things about living and working in Bay St. Louis — sometimes even the commute feels like a little vacation. 💚

It is almost Halloween and I have a ....Confession!

I have never really decorated for Halloween...

I have always been a MASSIVE Christmas decorator, so I never felt the need to go all out for both. I usually save my time, energy, money, and Kenny’s patience for Christmas.

BUT…our new street has a big Halloween block party, and now I feel like we have to participate! We cannot be the new neighbors with the boring house. They’ll think we’re lame.

So, Halloween decorating people—I need guidance. When do we start? Is October 1 acceptable, or am I already behind? And exactly how committed do I need to be here?

Here’s a quick look at the Slidell housing market for August compared to July:

• Median sales price: $245,000, up from $237,900
• Median days on market: 54 days, compared to 53
• New listings: 153, down from 183
• Homes sold: 106, compared to 109

The median sales price increased by approximately 3%, while the number of homes sold remained fairly steady. The biggest change was in new inventory, with 30 fewer homes listed during August.

For sellers, this means properly priced homes can still attract buyers. For buyers, there are opportunities available, but fewer new listings may mean keeping a close eye on the market and being prepared when the right home becomes available.
