Officially fall! 🍂 Or, as we call it in South Carolina…summer, but with pumpkins. 😂

I’m ready for cooler evenings, football, apple picking, pumpkin patches & every possible excuse to sit around a fire.

What makes it officially feel like fall to you?

SOLD is such a small word for everything it took to get here 🏡

This wasn’t a put-a-sign-in-the-yard & wait kind of sale. It took strategy changes, a full marketing refresh, negotiations, repair coordination, & 𝘱𝘭𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘺 of behind-the-scenes problem solving.

But that’s the job. Continuing to pivot, communicate, & keep everyone moving toward the closing table.

Today, 1113 Denington Dr officially starts a new chapter, & so do my sellers. I’m incredibly grateful they trusted me through all of it.

Early risers. 🌅 Night owls. 🌙 Kids who somehow wake up with their volume already set to 💯.

A little separation between bedrooms can be a very good thing. 😆

At 7955 Highway 56, the split-bedroom layout places the primary bedroom apart from the two secondary bedrooms. It gives everyone a little more privacy, whether those rooms belong to kids, guests or the home office you’ve been trying to carve out.

Because a home doesn’t always need to be bigger to live better. Sometimes it just needs a layout that makes sense.

I went to Cowpens for a showing…and somehow ended up finding three of the cutest antique stores because this millennial is officially in her antiquing era. 😂

The Marketplace on Main - Cowpens, Sunflowers & Secrets, & Vintage 40 Boutique were all sitting there looking extra cute for fall, so obviously I had to stop.

And I didn’t just look, either. A couple things did absolutely need to come home with me. 🛍️

The game is on. 🏈 Someone wants to watch a movie. 🎬 Homework is spread across the coffee table. 📚 And somebody is just looking for a quiet place to take a nap. 😴

That’s what makes the layout at 209 Navaho Drive such a bonus. You have an open living & dining space, plus a separate den with a gas fireplace. One can be the everyday family room while the other becomes a playroom, home office, movie room or the space you attempt to keep presentable for company.

Fall may not feel especially close when South Carolina is still doing its best impression of July…but we all know cooler weather will eventually get here. 😂🍂

Before it does, here are five little home-maintenance tasks worth adding to your list:

🍁 Change your HVAC filter & test the heat before you actually need it
🍁 Clear debris from the gutters & downspouts
🍁 Test your smoke & carbon-monoxide detectors
🍁 Check the caulking & weatherstripping around windows and doors
🍁 Have your fireplace or chimney inspected before that first cozy fire

None of these are particularly exciting - but finding a small problem now is much better than discovering it on the first freezing morning!

Save this for the weekend when you finally admit summer is winding down. 😉
