This closing has been over a year in the making, which makes it that much sweeter!

My first phone call with Stephen and Megan was over a year ago as they started talking about making the move to South Carolina. Funny enough, I ended up helping Megan’s brother and sister-in-law find their home here first, and now, a year later, Stephen, Megan and their family are finally HOME in SC! 🏡

And I truly believe this was the home they were waiting for.

The first time Stephen and I walked through this house, I could tell he loved it, he wasn’t good at hiding his excitement, but he was trying his best not to get ahead of himself until Megan could see it too. When Megan and the kids finally walked through, they fell in love too… although Megan definitely has a better poker face than Stephen! 🤣

This one was a little different because it was For Sale By Owner, a beautiful brick ranch sitting on 12 acres that had been in the Gallman family for years. You could immediately tell how deeply this home had been loved and cared for.

And you could see Judith everywhere. ❤️

She quilted, crocheted and stitched so many beautiful things by hand. One little piece hanging on the wall caught my attention from the very beginning. It simply said:

“Those who give love gather love.”

I loved it so much that I finally asked the seller if he planned to sell any of the furniture or if he would be willing to part with any of his mother’s handmade pieces.

He told me, “If you sell the house, you can have that picture.” I said, DEAL.

And on closing day, he kept his word and handed it to me. 🥹❤️ It’s one of those little things I’ll keep forever, not because of what it is, but because of the story and the family behind it.

There is something incredibly special about watching a home that has held one family’s memories for so many years become the place where another family will begin making theirs.

Stephen & Megan, WELCOME TO SOUTH CAROLINA! 🎉🏡 I am so happy you’re finally here, and I hope your family fills this home and those 12 acres with a lifetime of love, laughter and memories.
