🏡 THE STL HOUSING MARKET IS HAVING AN IDENTITY CRISIS. 😂

Buyers: “Finally! More houses to choose from!” 🙌
Sellers: “Wait…aren’t good houses still selling?”
The market: “Also yes.” 😏

And honestly, that pretty much sums up what we’re seeing right now.

Across the St. Louis metro:

🏡 6,840 homes were actively listed in August
📈 Inventory was up nearly 17% from last year
✂️ Almost 1 in 5 listings had a price reduction
⏰ Median market time reached 45 days

Translation: Buyers have more choices and more negotiating opportunities—but that does NOT mean every house suddenly comes with a bargain sticker.

Some homes are getting reductions.
Some have room to negotiate.
And the right house, priced right, can still get plenty of attention.

The opportunity is knowing which one you’re looking at. 👀

That’s why I actually LOVE this kind of market. Strategy matters again—for buyers and sellers.

This one was definitely a whirlwind!

The home hit the market just days before its open house, and no private showings were allowed beforehand. When Saturday finally arrived, the open house was packed from start to finish with more than 30 groups walking through.

Deana knew almost immediately… this was the one.

With multiple offers on the table and a quick deadline approaching, we put together the strongest offer we could. The next day, we got the call—we got it! 🎉🏡
