Mom invented Show Ready before realtors did.

No warning. No negotiation. Just pure chaos and a countdown clock. Suddenly, we were Olympic-level sprinters—grabbing laundry, fluffing pillows, hiding clutter in closets that somehow still haven’t recovered. The vacuum made a guest appearance, the good hand towels came out, and heaven help anyone who left a single dish in the sink.

Before we ever understood open houses or last-minute showings, you had us trained. Lights on. Candles lit. Everything looking like nobody actually lived there. And somehow… it worked. Every time.

But looking back, it wasn’t really about the clean house. It was about the pride you took in creating a home. A place that felt warm, welcoming, and full of love—even if we had to shove half our belongings under the bed to get there.

You taught us how to take care of what we have. How to show up for people. How to make a space feel special, even on short notice. And yeah… maybe also how to panic-clean at an elite level.

So today, we’re celebrating you—for the laughs, the life lessons, and the lifelong habit of doing a quick scan before anyone walks through the door.

Renting means you pay every month and walk away with nothing to show for it. Owning, on the other hand, means those same monthly payments help you build equity over time, which is a form of long-term wealth.

With renting, prices can continue to rise and you have little control when they do. When you own a home, you typically have more stability in your monthly payment and greater control over your housing costs in the long run.
