Interviewing agents? You might not think about where your data goes who gets a hold of it or how it gets maintained. It’s important to know.

Unfortunately, as a consumer , your information is treated as a commodity by some groups. Don’t get sold without your knowledge.

Contract contracts? How am I signing them? How do you review them with me? How do I keep from signing things that I am not comfortable with?

The best way to protect yourself as a consumer is to educate yourself on the process and that is by interviewing your real estate professionals. It’s not all about numbers sometimes it’s about the process.

Picking a professional can be tricky.

If you are interviewing agents and you are just getting to know or interview them and learning more about what they offer or what might make them a professional you want to choose, this is something you will want to know upfront.

Real estate agents often make professional relationships throughout their careers. The best relationships are built on personal experience with resources that have provided outstanding service in communication.

That is not always the case for some agents and so you’ll want to learn how their recommendations are made.
There are vendors or professionals within the same sphere that will do anything to get on an agent’s recommendation list. Sometimes it’s not on the up and up. So ask the person you’re interviewing: have you worked with this person? Do you get compensated by this person? Why do you recommend them?

At the end of the day, you’re the consumer and it’s your choice. Educate yourself and ask the right questions.

If you’re just starting to work your way towards picking a real estate agent, or you’re not sure about working with one. Here’s part one of five questions that you can ask an agent to get to know them, how they work and whether or not they’re a good fit for you.

These aren’t things that a lot of agents bring up in their interviews and so this is a great question for you to ask them.

If you’re a consumer and you’re trying to protect yourself and also teach yourself more about the industry, this is a great place to start.
The terms can be confusing, and sometimes people use licensing terms that they don’t actually have.
