First time home buyer tip:
If you are contemplating buying but scared about the monthly payments. Hold off for a while, and take the monthly payments you would likely be paying and put it in savings. Do this for some time, and you can have an idea if that payment is comfortable for you with out the consequences of having the mortgage. The plus is, that money will be in savings and when you are finally ready to purchase, you will now have a larger down payment to help bring payments down.
