Heading out for a hike? 🥾🌲

A little preparation can make a big difference. Before you hit the trail, make sure you have the basics covered — plenty of water, snacks, weather-appropriate clothing, sturdy footwear, navigation tools, sun and bug protection, and a small first-aid kit.

It’s also a good idea to bring a flashlight or headlamp, keep your phone charged, and let someone know where you’re headed before you go.

Pack smart, stay safe, and enjoy the trail!

As students head back to the classroom, remember to slow down, stay alert and give school buses plenty of space. Children can be unpredictable when entering and exiting the bus, so a little extra caution goes a long way.

When the lights are flashing and the stop arm is extended, traffic must stop. Let’s all do our part to help keep students safe this school year.
