For the Tramps, Misfits and Underdogs... Most folks spend a good portion of their lives searching for happiness in all the wrong places.
Some try bigger houses.
Some try faster boats.
Some try self-help books written by people who clearly need help themselves.
Meanwhile, down at the Jackson County Animal Shelter, a dog with one bent ear and a questionable understanding of personal space is patiently waiting to change someone's life forever.
Funny how that works.
Behind every kennel door is a story. Some are heartbreaking. Some are inspiring. All of them are waiting for a second chapter.
This week's blog is about the tramps, the misfits, the underdogs, and the forgotten souls who ask for very little in return for a lifetime of devotion. It is a story about loneliness, hope, redemption, and a question worth asking:
Who really rescues who?
Fair warning: You may arrive looking for a good story and leave wondering if your next best friend is waiting for you at the shelter.
